Surely the difference is in choice? I'm against fox-hunting, not keen on pugilism, but think it's a step too far to ban boxing where it involves two consenting adults. It's a trade-off, rather than hypocrisy. The fox has no choice, the boxer has. And I have a choice to not watch the boxing.
