My moan today fitness wise. Early morning run, cold, wet and I didn't tape up my hairy man-nipples. As I result I look like I've been shot twice
I caught sight of you pacemakers on the stage at the warm up but never saw you again. I'm sure I couldn't have passed you Deek without noticing your luminous top It's also probable that the devastatingly handsome guy couldn't make it either. I didn't notice anybody fitting that description anyway

Anyhow finished in 48:09 so very pleased with that. The run didn't quite pan out the way I expected. I was hoping to run sub 5min kilometres for the first 6 or 7k and then hang on to get a sub 50 time.

I didn't get doing that because it's so busy at the start. I couldn't get a steady pace at all. Got through 2 Km in about 11 minutes so thought I'd struggle to get sub50. I got a good pace going for the next 7km but was running out of steam in the last km. I now wish I'd dug in a bit and I might have got under 48 minutes...... still there's always next year. ....or the Great Scottish run in September...
