Re: SuperHub - Anyone Tried WOL - WAN to PC?

The only reason I need WoL is in conjunction with LogMeIn. I have one machine that runs 24x7 anyway but my laptop downstairs gets turned off and I sometimes need to access that remotely. Pre-Superhub this was no problem without doing anything special (20Mbps cable modem to WNR2000 and later to a Buffalo running Tomato firmware both worked).

To get WoL via LogMeIn working with the hub I had to use a fixed IP on the laptop and forward port 9 UDP to it. That works. The Superhub can't just send magic packets around all devices on the network as it doesn't support n.n.n.255 as a valid IP for forwarding.
