Re: Call Of Duty MW2/Black Ops/MW3 Lobby question

what needs to be explained here then is the difference between a modded lobby and a modded player.

A modded player takes advantage of .GPD mods that were available for a short time in Blackops, GPD mods include Aimbot, Speed and other abilities.

Modded lobbies are only available via Jtag and these are banned after an hour but can be unbanned for a cost. Modded lobbies that appear in public are instantly banned.

Unfortunately there has not been a patch that will stop GPD modding or other player mods.

To answer the OP's question, What you have heard is nothing more than private match talk. However there is indeed the possibility of player mods in public matches.

To make things as simple as possible.

- Cod 4 has modded lobbies in public and private matches.
- MW2 has modded lobbies only available in Private matches but GPD mods can be used online in public matches (both sets can be spotted by joining a lobby and being able to see a target through a wall, this is the most common mod used)

- Blackops has intense security and NO modded lobbies or GPD mods. (there was a case of GPD mods in earlier versions)

- MW3 will improve on the security feature of Blackops named 3ARC OR IIIARC.

To the poster above, Nothing will be done about the GPD mods on MW2 because they clearly have moved on to MW3.
