Yes it is a router for cabel modems.

Whenever I diagnose the problem through internet explorer it tells me there is a problem with the DNS??

The model of the router is: F7D3302 v1
If you connect directly to the modem and reboot the modem do you get a connection without any issues or does the same issue occur.
