I have a Belkin N+ router, and I was having an issue where it kept dropping out every night. A wired PC worked, but the wireless didn't, so it was obviously the router.

There are other wireless networks in the vicinity, so I changed the channel from auto to 1, and so far the connection has never dropped out.

If it was a neighbour I just hope they never change to channel 1; they are probably happy that their connection has magically stabilised now I have changed my channel.
