We get quite a few goldfinches around here being having miles of open country pretty much on the doorstep. They're a bit skittish though and won't stop too long on the feeders in the garden so I managed to get a nyjer seed feeder up into one of the trees at the end of the garden with the aid of a 10m roach pole and some creative coathanger bending.. it fell out the other week though when we had those gales so there's a job for the weekend before the natives start to get restless.
