But as has been pointed out, it's just not worth renting a TV nowadays, with the amount of TVs going for free on Freecycle. Now that people are upgrading to HDTVs there are loads of half-decent TVs going begging each week as it's easier than the hassle of disposal while complying with electronic waste regulations. My local Freecycle group has had 28 TVs listed just this month.
