Its worth mentioning it only takes one single ping to generate the yellow on the graph, the blue and green is more important. So if you did 100 pings and 99 were at 10ms and 1 at 100ms, the yellow would be high at 100ms. Given that tbb pinging is 24/7 its more likely to get any kind of fluctuations on latency.

With that said tho on the vmng3000 I have noticed that anomaly in that the tbb graph jumps up and down on the yellow but actual jitter doesnt change with it. Based on what I have read and what a few VM staff have told me the vmng300 has a smaller upload queue depth so gets more frequent slots causing lower jitter. In effect it has higher priority than other modems. On the varying max pings tho I have no plausible reason, just that it is something unique to the vmng300. The tbb graphs on every other VM modem I have used seemed accurate enough, eg. on the superhub I get a ping spike roughly every 4 to 5 pings on average.
