I'm at a loss as to what it is you might find "strange" as far as my attitude is concerned.
I simply pointed out that you had undermined what little logic there was to your own argument.

Can you explain how depriving someone who thinks so little of human life of contact with other human life might constitute a "punishment" of any sort - if anything you'd be "rewarding" them.

(you like those little roll eyes things, don't you?).
Yes I would, on several points, not least of which is the fact that back here in "real world" hanging this chap is not an option available to the Hague, neither is it something most civilized democratrized countries use as a punishment.
You've got the indignant fury goggles on again Masque - and they betray you - hence my question on your thoughts on other forms of summary justice / ritual scarring meted out by other less than democratic states.
Sadly you can't even see the analogy.
I'd be quite prepared to spend some time alone with a mirror if you'd be prepared to spend an equal amount of time brushing up on common sense and what constitutes the actual forms of punishment available to the Hague instead of reverting to the usual fantasy "I think [Daily mail] rant [/Daily Mail]".
