The companies operate a different mode to each other sky is basically a tv company that also thanks to bt is able to offer broadband and phone lines.Virgin media on the other hand is a broadband company who also offer tv and phone lines,virgin will never have the cash to compete with sky on linear tv channels fact,but with TiVo is obviously going the streaming content route as well as linear channels,after all why compete with a cash rich mountain company who pay nutty prices for content.

The positons with tv are reversed.Who says sky have offered atlantic at a "reasonable price" er sky of course they would do would they not,virgin media tv customers will probably get it when it moves onto a sky pack later on in the year,and sky ask a reasonable price for it.
