Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. II.

I'm guessing somewhere down the line, a diskless Tvio is being made ready for this new delivery model. In the unlikely event you need to record linear TV it will be to cloud based storage, these media portals will have large libraries of content available on demand (archive and current). So there will be no need to record programs, just the ability to create your own schedule. Tvio could perhaps do it automatically based on your viewing habits around the few remaining linear channels (BBC, ITV etc)? VM could provide a several default schedules and insert targeted advertisements to pay for there upkeep. Soaps schedule, documentary schedule so on, interleaved into the basic linear channel schedules. Most of which I sure Tvio can do now, its just when it will be available?

If you think this is all a pipe dream, look at what Samsung/LG TVs can do already!

2 year at most, the way the market is moving, I can see the Primer League, Formula One, NHL, Music events etc having their own portals, in this way they maximise their returns instead of Sky taking a slice! No cross country agreesments, no matter where you live just register your credit card
