Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. II.

If you trawl the internet you see movie studios and TV program makers trying to maximise their returns on investments. They are doing this by creating their own distribution portals or employing the likes of Google, Apple and Amazon to do for them. Either using a pay per view or selective/target advertisements model. The traditional channels will find it harder to get good quality content and hence attract income to pay for it through adverts and will cease to exist.

So I would like hear is, what VM are actually planning to replace these channels that will inevitably disappear, are they going use Tvio to hook into these portals seamlessly and provide content that way. Is that why on the new channels front it has gone quiet and VM are working on this new model. Will we be forced to upgrade to Tvio to get this new premium content? Will we buy packages i.e. Warner Bothers TV package, Discovery TV Package etc provided through an Amazon portal or even a Sky portal! Will VM just be a media delivery company hence the focus on broadband!
