From experience I knew that I wouldn't get any joy ringing B&Q so I emailed Nexus directly.
Within 30 minutes or so I got a reply asking me to send the receiver back using their freepost address.
I sent the receiver back last Tuesday after 4.00pm.
This Saturday morning I received a brand new receiver - complete with handset and HDMI cable!!!
My old receiver had been tested and was found to have a faulty HDMI output.
So a massive thankyou to Nexus Industries for their excellent customer service and unbelievably quick repair/replacement turnaround.
As an aside, not only is the HDMI output from this new box (still a HDR-6610USB) absolutely perfect - the timer recording function seems to work 100% reliably too (the old one was a bit hit and miss).
At some point in the near future I'm going to buy another receiver - with customer service like this it's definitely going to be another Ross!
