Superhub and repeating
I'm currently on 20M using an Ambit 256 modem. Modem is downstairs behind the TV and I've got a couple of CAT5 connections wired from there into the loft of the house where it connects to my Netgear WNDR3500 and another 8 port hub which provides the internet and wireless for the whole house. As it's in the loft, it works really well and the coverage is excellent, plus it looks tidy as it's all out of sight along with some other kit I've got connected to the network (some extra CAT5 runs to other rooms, CCTV system, NAS box etc).
It's that time of year where I ring up to get a better deal from VM and obviously one of things they'll offer is a 30M upgrade - I might even consider 50M if the price is right. That will require a new Superhub and the problems that might bring.
I understand that bridge mode for the hubs is coming which means it will effectively just work as a modem, but is it possible to connect the Superhub to my existing router in a kind of wireless repeater / access point type config? I can find details of how to connect two 3500's and I believe the Superhub is basically a 3700.
I know you can use the "DMZ" trick to get the Superhub to pass all the traffic to the other router, but it would be quite handy to use both at once, particularly as a few LAN ports in the lounge where the modem is now wouldn't go amiss.
