Hi Gazzae
I go camping quite often with a few friends, as a few others have said it's always better to have a tent bigger than the number of folks going for storing food, cooking equipment etc.
Have a look at the
http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/ site they have a large selection from a number of manufacturers. See if you have any camping/outdoor stores close by, as many of them have tents set up so you can have a look around them. The Go Outdoors Hi Gear tents (which I believe are made by Gelert) have stood up to real battering winds and torrential rain without any leaks or problems. the best tent may depend on what sort of money you'd like to spend and how much space you'd like (i've been in both an Atakama 5 and Mojave 5 and both are great for space) It's also nice to be able to stand up while getting dressed etc.
They often have offers on different tents each week, so a tent that can be £250 one week can be discounted to £99 when offers are on.

Hope this helps
