When I first saw it, I thought it looked very soft. However I then realised I was watching Friends on Channel 4, a channel not known for showing Friends in a high broadcast quality. I changed the settings to put pillarboxes on 4:3 content, and it looked better. I watched BBC News, and that looked just like before. HD is the same, it's still very good.
