The lack of traffic noise is quite welcome as we live on what is normally something of a rat run. Almost as quiet as that other day.
Actually, it was great fun! There weren't that many kids. Everybody brought some food (and drink) so we had a great spread. Obviously, the weather was great. The buntings were out, we all had a couple of drinks (too many), people were running back to their houses getting more chilled Coronas, pitchers of Pimm's and the odd bottle of champagne. The few kids that were there did an ABBA impression, and we all had a great time.

It reminded me of Queen's day back in Holland (due tomorrow actually). A National day to celebrate your nation. I think we should have one annually here!
