If you cause issues on the network they can disconnect you and seeming as the equipment is not yours I would leave well alone.

Oddly enough you are talking about powerpacks and if you read my post carefully I was informing you that some VMNG300 modems do not come with separate powerpacks as the lead is permanently attached.
