Recordings will always resume from the point it was last stopped but no, there is no way to specify a point in the recording.

Press 'skip' when you either FF or REW to go to the next white marker. Plus Tivo FF/REW faster than V+ anyway so you should be able to get to any point in the programme very quickly anyway
