My view is TiVo has been around for years and works brilliantly. V+ works great the way it does. So if you miss V+ features then go back to it. I love TiVo and the way it works. I don't miss the V+ at all, TiVo is a totally different product all together.
What's the point in getting a great service added to VM only for people to say they wish it was more like the old product?

Agree with Denphone on this.
Why does there have to be a V+ or Tivo choice for certain functionality?
Tivo/VM have added features to the US version specific for VM, so why couldn't they have added features from V+ that were superior to those onTivo, or missing from Tivo?
If Tivo hadn't been modified it in any way from the US version, then your 'choice' argument holds up; tivo or V+. But they did. And to say Tivo does everything better than V+ is looking at tivo with blinkered vision IMHO.
The best of Tivo US combined with the best of V+ was the way to go IMHO.
From my perspective, the one feture that V+ trounced Tivo on, is padding; Tivo really needs to adopt the V+ method.
Also picture quality, but that is probably a Cisco box issue.
