It's a universal remote that controls all your equipment with the one remote.

but it's very clever in that you create 'Activities'. With one push of a button, it will switch everything on at once and set them to the right input.

In my case, my 'Tivo' activity switches on my AV amp and selects the Cab/sat input and switches on the TV and selects the HDMI1 input. (I've told it I always leave Tivo switched on).

On the remote itself, you tell it that the volume controls the AV amp and the Channel controls the Tivo box.

You can add any Tivo, amp or TV command to the remote by adding them as touch buttons.

all this is done by connecting the Harmony remote to the computer via USB and changing options in the Harmony software that you install.

Best bit of kit I've ever bought!

Really usefull for the current PIN situation as you can add a 'sequence', so that one button push enters your PIN number.
