The fact that these are award winning series means they are popular in the USA so should be good quality programmes if you like their style.

The strange factor is the relatively low viewing figures for all the promotion given by Sky, is it just that the majority of UK viewers just do not get interested in USA styled series? Still think VM should do a deal for Atlantic but hard to demand if viewing has not been exceptional.

The Pacific (and maybe Game of Thrones) has only been the first programe that has caught my interest and that is a repeat from Sky Movies.

I actually think if VM add a few more obvious gaps in HD channels and did actually get their cash out for some of the more popular new content channels then that would be enough.

They don't have to buy everything and from my view point I always have enough content I enjoy recorded to watch. If I had more content available, when would I find the time to actually watch it as we are watching recordings every night now and have a backlog all the time and that is just on VM!

Just don't want to be in a situation like it was with Lost a few years back (yes we were "Lost" addicts at the time) where a really popular series is put on a Sky only channel. Atlantic has the risk of that happening again?
You have lots of fair points matey,I am currently watching quite a lot of sky atlantic whilst i am on my half price deal and will be very sad to lose it in june. But it certainly looks like we will have a long wait to see it on vm if ever,Vm are throwing there cash at 3d and on demand content whilst hd is still lagging.Really cant understand it
