I'm thrilled to just find the on/off - though it does take a bit longer than I thought it did (and no you don't have to turn on/off the TiVo to do it, I believe Carl was just saying it's a short press for TiVo or a long press and hold for TV) as I can just turn the TV on/off by holding the button and the TiVo stays on just fine

Yeh that's what I assumed would work but doesn't seem to. Would appreciate any fellow Toshiba LCD owners feeding back their experiences.
The input on my tv can be toggled with one button too so should work.
