I wouldn't have a problem with it either, provided the ISP's utilizing this method actually passed on the savings to their customers.

Instead, i believe they'd just see it as an opportunity to maximize their profits.. Hell, the penny pinchers at VM would probably introduce a pole charge

Anyone remember the old Rediffusion cable system?
