I may have missed what package you're currently on, but swapping out my 2 x V+ boxes on my VIP50 package actually saved me £10 a month (extra V+ fee) and brought the price back down to 100.55. We then added the extra HD channels to the additional TiVo box since it was still less than what we were paying.

Yes, the 2x £149 upfront fee is a big hit, but we had budgeted for it.
