Re: UPDATE:Councils may charge rubbish dump users but collection fines to go.

At some stage or other councils have to learn that they are there to provide services and those services have to be paid for from their own funds be that central government grant or the council tax. It is totally unfair that they are now seeking for us to pay twice, once in tax and then in useage fees.

If they want us to pay for stuff at use, then scrap the council tax. We can all bung the fire brigade £100 when they turn up, £10 to get the police officer to walk down your street ..... Yes that may seem impractical but why the hell should we be paying twice so they can charge us through the backdoor for stuff they should be providing.
