Re: UK councils consider charging rubbish dump users

I have mixed feelings about this .On one hand we do pay council tax and a portion of which is for household rubbish removal ,bulky waste such as sofas ,fridges ect are usually charged anyway if the council come and pick them up ,i think some councils allow 3 pickups a year then charge .The question is should we expect the council to collect or dispose of settees fridges ect free of charge ,i don't think those sort of items can be classed as every day household waste so i think they have a case for charging
