Yes, so why hasn't he been banned before then? Why has this only been started now, in the run-in to the end of the season?

The FA rule is "A participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of, violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour." So why hasn't every player who swears during a game been given a two match ban? Theres nothing in the rule to say that it has to be directed at a camera to get a ban.

I'm not defending what he did, he was an idiot, but a two game ban is ridiculous.
