re: Optical to phono lead?

Can you clarify what input you need.
Masque's link will do that you want if you want to change from optical to coax S/PDIF (which uses a phono connector),
Essjay's is for going from S/PDIF to STEREO sound, which will not give you surround sound. If you're using that you may as well just break out the stereo audio from the scart socket and save yourself £35 by getting a scart breakout lead instead. There's literally no need to touch that adapter.
