I suspect there will be some ground given by Sky and the BBC but there's probably more to it than meets the eye anyway, there always is with Sky.
Both BT Vision and VM got in early with iplayer though, since then the BBC trust have reviewed the syndication policy, and it's now a case of you have to offer one of their standard players, there's no middle ground of offering the content on anything but a version of iplayer anymore.

Sky have only recently complained that the BBC won't bow down to them and make them their own version.
