I called Sky for a quote (nothing to do with the TiVo expense, more with the terrible CS I had this last month) and Sky essentially mislead you into believing they are cheaper than Virgin.

I asked for the comparable package to V+HD, XL TV, XL phone, L bb and they came up with £58.50 per month. That's not a lot more than I pay with VM, but it's certainly not cheaper.

Given that I have to lose on demand functionality too, and pay £250 for 1.5TB hard disk (WTF?!?) they are having a laugh.

So to those of you thinking of jumping ship to Sky just because this new product is too expensive... the grass isn't greener as far as I can see. Looks like I'll be staying red (although VM CS are making me SEE RED!)
