I made no judgement, I'm merely noting that he's the stereotype. Zero exposure to the real world, affluent upbringing, wanting to educate the rest of us to fit his narrow view of the world. This issue is just his soap box, if not this I'm sure he'd have found something else to exercise his activism on.

Well first of all I think quite a lot of middle class people will be feeling the impact of these cuts. They tend to make up a large number of public sector workers and will be seeing their jobs going.
Not that it should matter. I don't see why his upbringing discredits him at all. The 'exposure' to the real world is a bit of a red herring as few people can say they draw upon an experience in all sectors of british life. It is the case for most people that their upbringing affects their view of the world.
In the grand scheme of things your not that much older than him...
