Ah, back when ITV was proper local telly. I remember Bob doing the goodnight/closedown on Granada. He would do the piece to camera, then after they'd counted down to midnight or whatever, he would do another VoiceOver along the lines of "we really are going now ... Goodnight!"

Sadly the way ITV has gone, the age of local presenters who would pop up at various times doing different things on the channel has all but gone. We will never see his like again.
