Cable cut by accident etc

Car hits roadside cabinet or vandalism, easier to fix than the satellite





The above ignore headend problems such as fire as I assume they have disaster recovery plans for this.

Surely cable tv can also be effected by all the satelite problems than? As VM tv is fed via big massive dishes. Although I think the BBC is a fibre feed.

Or am I wrong in thinking VMtv is just satelite tv fed to each user via fibre/coax?
