Sadly though Chris I'm sure the old mad-man is well aware what his fate will be if he is deposed, that's why he is prepared to kill countless numbers of his own countrymen just so as he can save his own sorry butt.
Just veering off the point momentarily, part of the condition for releasing Megrahi was that Libya would finally hand over the coward who shot and killed young WPC Evonne Fletcher, but we are still waiting.
As regards the men and women who are risking their lives trying to oust Gaddafi and bring about a more democratic Libya, they truly deserve our respect. This certainly isn't another Egypt or Tunisia where the people look towards the army for protection, great swathes of Gaddafi's henchmen have proved already they are not soldiers, merely paid thugs in a uniform...good luck to the brave people of Libya.
