You have not stated how you do the test or what browser you are using. I've already told you these are major factors that wildly affect the results. I've already told you certain versions of Firefox works, IE doesn't. But again you seem to be in complete denial of the facts and just be rambling on about "it works for me it must work for everyone".

Remember I have not set these tests, they are set by our IT department because they know exactly what to expect from this test and if you or anyone else feels it is incorrect then you need to take it up with them.
You're continuing to advocate a test that has been scientifically proven to be absolute rubbish and in complete denial of the facts because "it works for you".

So as it stands you ring in with a speed issue, we run Gamefiles and ascertain you are running slow, we contact 2nd line and they have us get you to run some more files.
Or you ring in with a speed issue, your flawed test says I'm getting 50mbps when I'm actually getting 20, you deny there's a speed issue, and the customer hangs up disappointed after being lied to.

The is little point in arguing how a company checks its customers speed because that is the process we must use, if you refuse to download any files then the is little we can do to help as we cannot book an engineer without evidence.
Yet in another thread you argue the complete opposite, it's all about what you can do, not the company. Quit selectively ignoring facts when it selfishly suits you.

The test quoted is rubbish, and (I would hope) you have sufficient free will and brain power of your own to interpret speed test results yourself. If speed tests suggest a problem, you can ask second line to confirm. Telling a customer to perform this flawed and inaccurate test accomplishes nothing, other than deceiving them to get them off the phone and hiding the problem.

"It's company procedure" to deceive and lie to customers does not cut it. Please. You are not on this forum as a representative of the company. You have your own mind and I certainly hope you'd have a basic grasp of math and computing fundamentals.

a) We're both too dumb to follow instructions and are doing the test wrong.
This makes the test flawed, as in if we're both too dumb to get it right, how on earth do you expect your average joe to do it right?

b) We're doing it right and Ignition is incorrectly assuming we're doing it wrong.
This makes the test flawed, as we've demonstrated correctly that the numbers are far off.

In either case, the test is useless.

Obviously not ideal but you are getting the wrong impression if you are looking at speed at the end of the download.
Ignition and Masque, please read:

Cleared browser cache, started 4 downloads of >400MB files, left downloads "to settle" for 45 seconds and took a screenshot to snapshot speeds. 57.84mbps "data related to the files being transferred". Add on 10% as they instruct, that'd be 63.62mbps.
