I think the above manual speed test is a really bad idea, as, due to testing methodology, it will always give inflated results. The better option would to be to use something like
DU Meter which gives extremely accurate by-the-second readouts of download speed, showing not only speed but stability, spikes, averages, etc. It'll combine the 4 downloads for you and take into account any other background activity on your line as well.
