Does it matter what version of memtest I use ? I found v1.70 on my ubuntu live cd

I think my motherboard has some memory test as well, I got a ASUS P7P55D-E LX

How do I install memtest to usb

Memtest 1.7 has been running now for 3 hours 40 mins passed 7 errors 0. Its still running should I leave it running overnight? The machine has not rebooted today while it was in safe mode and while running memtest.
