As Masque suggests, I'm sure many of the 50,000 will loose interest as soon as they hear the up front fee. It's a product that people will want, but it's a hard sell during these tough financial times. TV is a luxury item, and is often the first thing to go when the purse strings are drawn. Give it 3 or 4 years and TiVo will be a hit for Virgin.

Virgin Media's and Sky's financial figures show that isn't true. If the purse strings are tight, then people stay in and upgrade their home entertainment.
