VM are still in a pre release state so as yet you aren't really in the dark as they still haven't announced the full launch date.

They are currently working through the pre registered list of customers and are calling everyone as soon as they can.

At the end of the day, you will get TiVo soon. Just be patient and it will come. Stopping worrying that you won't be contacted. There are bigger more important things that people should be bothered about than 'when will I get TiVo'
