I have to say that while I am not surprised by the decision I think it was a poor one. I question West Ham's ability to fill a 60,000 seater stadium and the choice to keep the running track and the impact it will have on the atmosphere and the fans at the ground. Obviously keeping the running track is the reason West Ham won the bid, the rest of the bid was inferior to Spurs and they require public money. However how will the OPLC enforce West Ham keep the track? Unless there is a pretty clever solution I envisage it being gone within a season or two.
