That aside, you should pay close attention to the progress of the court case Johnnymeg has linked to. It doesn't matter how you steal your cable services, all the boxes are as illegal as each other and when they catch you, you will wind up in front of the beak facing a large fine or up to 5 years in jail.

I am sure we all want that senior lawyers opinion addopted by the judges in 3 or so months time..more competition prices drop dont we??
as for those guys behind the starview franchise they are big boys and justice will ofcourse take its course no doubt,although for anyone stealing cable or satellite by purchasing one of those boxes will hardly get nearly 5 years in jail infact show me a case were anyone individualy stealing cable or satellite has got time??infact show me a case were anyone has got done for having chipped boxes in their homes!!infact this link posted by Ben

this guy got done for causeing virgin £1.25m got an 18 month sentence SUSPENDED ...maybe it all isnt really serious in the grand scheme of things ehh??
