I spoke to the the CS folks a couple of times last year about potentialy upgrading to 50mb nad both times they thought that because Mates rates was a fixed package any changes or upgrades would end up with the discount being removed completely.
For obvious reasons I'll stick with 20mb if upgrading means losing the discount.

It should not affect you upgrading to 30Mb as you will still be paying the same price the only difference is that you will have to pay £30 for the Superhub which you can order online.
