Re: PC upgrade advice

Well I have 5 HD's

3 7200 rpm drives

2x 160gig
1x 500gig
1x 128gig SSD
1x 320gig portable drive

1x IDE DVD writer
1x USB DVD writer

So as for Sata 3 drives no I wont be getting any at least not at the moment if ever.

I dont know if there is an imrovment using Sata2 drives on SATA3 connections and whether I will get much performance going from DDR2 800 to DDR 3 1333

Would it be worth getting the board as a possible future upgrade? I've not actually looked on the net at USB3

However I do use a portable HD and dvd drive via usb (not often) the HD is more for backup and the other USB connections used are for my Xbox 360 control (wireless) and my thrustmaster steering wheel as well as my keyboard, mouse and printer.
