VM are obviously trying to get the best deal for us, which is why an announcement is taking so long, but if a deal cannot be reached, I would be prepared to pay a subscription to receive this channel, much as this goes against the grain.
I would not want to miss out on those programmes. I would rather give up Sky Movies, frankly.

The point about Sky Atlantic that's easy to overlook is that Sky have already stated that they are also moving their new and best home-grown drama from Sky One to the new channel. That's going to mean that the likes of the Terry Pratchett and Andy McNab dramas will find a new home there. I, too, hope that VM manage to strike a deal on Sky Atlantic.
