you mean shows where the police play nice in-front of the camera ,and follow procedure to the letter because they have millions of viewers .
no i don't watch that type of fiction - i watch midsummer murders - rosemary and time -Sherlock Holmes -poirot -does that help in any way ? 
so if i use my powers of deduction gleaned from the shows i watch i conclude the Butler done it .
