Excellent. So as well as everything else you are you are now an expert on the costs involved with converting specialist vehicles for use and putting modifications into them like rear cells, and secure internal storage.
If the Met are anything like other forces their big vans aren't replaced anything near as frequently as their pandas or traffic cars and whilst the TSG might have newer ones the old vans will sit in a pound for a while until they are needed for a large demonstration.
Oh and if it was planned to have students scrap it why was the kit inside not removed first?
