Re: Copying from V+HD box to VCR.

SCART leads have separate pins for audio and video, so it's possible that only the audio ones are broken. But it's stereo, and it's unlikely that you'd lose both the left and right pins.

Time for some fault finding:
First temporarily unplug the HDMI lead at one end. Doesn't matter which end.

Then connect the V+ direct to the TV by moving the SCART plug from the VCR to a spare socket on the TV. Select that input using the TV remote (button may be labelled AV, EXT, Source or have a picture of a TV screen with an arrow in it). You should be able to see the current channel from the V+. Can you also hear the sound?

If you can hear it, that means the V+ and SCART lead are ok. The fault probably lies in your VCR. Maybe you need to change its settings. (What model VCR is it? I'll see if I can find the manual online)

If you can't hear anything, either the SCART lead or V+ is faulty. Replace the SCART lead with a different one and repeat the test. If you now get sound, you know it was a bad lead. If you still have no sound, the V+ is faulty, and you should ring VM.

Don't forget to reconnect the HDMI lead when you've finished.
