The media must take their share of the blame. As I understand it, the change is that Universities will be allowed to charge
up to £9,000. This does not mean they will (they will compete on price with other Unis). The media have singularly failed to make this clear.

As do I. There is a legitimate protest, but I think it has been hijacked by people who have their own agenda that has little or nothing to do with students. People who either want to topple the government, want the chance to nick expensive goods and not get caught (riots are good for this, especially in large shopping areas such as Oxford and Regent Street) and those who just like a good fight.
